In 2018, SCALE members partnered to build an Intensive Residential Treatment Center in Savage, MN to provide short term inpatient care to adults with mental illness. This type of care is currently not offered anywhere in Scott County. While the facility will serve clients from around the state, referrals from Scott County will be prioritized. This initiative required the cooperation and partnership of Scott and Dakota Counties, the City of Savage, the Scott County Community Development Agency (CDA), Legislators, and the GUILD Hospital to provide families with a local 16-bed facility that will provide intensive treatment for those suffering from mental illness.
